Barefoot Clinics training is of the highest possible standard, delivered by highly experienced practitioners. Our professional and practical approach means that the students rapidly gain confidence and convert what they are learning into clinical practice.
Students are exposed to the clinical environment very early on and complete 1000 hours of theoretical work and in excess of 200 hours of clinical practice under supervision, satisfying the World Health Organisation’s guidelines and criteria for TCM training.
We nurture each student with individual support, building their confidence and fine-honing their clinical skills.
The training gives utmost importance to clinical care and safe practice, hygiene and sanitation. In addition to studying acupuncture, students learn basic first aid, anatomy, physiology and pathology. We also tailor the courses to meet local needs.
Barefoot Clinics is changing the way healthcare is being delivered into developing countries – by training local people to deliver healthcare themselves.
